COVID-19 Announcement

State of National Emergency Declared | NZ into National Lockdown

As New Zealand is currently in National Lock-down in the fight against COVID-19 changes to some of our essential services have been made to ensure we are doing our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 and prioritize the health of our staff and customers.

Service Changes -

  • Monitoring  - Monitoring staff are currently working remotely to ensure social distancing and work space sanitation.

  • Guards & Patrols - All staff are using dedicated vehicle to reduce unnecessary sharing of vehicles, some of which are not branded.

  • Security Technical Staff - All preventative maintenance and non urgent site visits have been postponed to ensure our technicians are only out in public places for essential jobs.

Broadband & Communications Service Changes - 

  • Broadband Fibre Connections - All New fibre installations are being rescheduled by Chorus, New and Existing connection changes can still be completed however some delays may be expected, site visits on a case by case basis.

  • Wireless Broadband Connections - Technicians are available for new connections however jobs are currently being prioritized to those struggling to work from home or require access for Student learning. All new connections are being assessed on a case by case basis.

  • Phone/Broadband Support - All phone, email and Social Media support services are still available but done remotely.

  • Broadband Infrastructure - As expected we have noticed a surge in throughput across our broadband network, our network engineers are continually monitoring network traffic to maintain sufficient capacity were needed. Currently we are not seeing heavy congestion however please contact our support team if you are having any difficulties

Triko's Telecommunications & Security decisions are both classed as Essential Services so all departments will remain in operation throughout the lock-down. We are and will remain available so please feel free to continue to contact the team at Triko as required.
